As another school year comes to a close, we want to pause and celebrate you. Through your leadership, mentors have shown up faithfully, students have been seen and loved, and prayer partners have carried each relationship before God. This is quiet Kingdom work, unfolding in ordinary moments and offered in Jesus’ name.

As another school year winds down, it’s easy to think about the things that didn’t quite happen—the gathering that never got scheduled, the opportunity that slipped by, or the student who moved away.
But mentoring isn’t about checking every box. It’s about steady, faithful love lived out in simple relationships.

As we step into March, we also step into a season that naturally points us toward growth. Spring reminds us that what has been planted and nurtured faithfully can begin to expand in new and meaningful ways. The same is true for your Kids Hope USA program.

As we step into this month, we want to continue to thank you for serving, leading, and guiding your programs with both passion for Christ and children! You are making a difference!

This month we also want to encourage you to reach out to your Program Support Specialist and share a story or mentoring moment from this school year that has left you more in awe of God’s hand in mentoring relationships. Sharing stories and testimonies is powerful, and we would love to celebrate how God is at work in your midst through intentional relationships!

As we step into a new calendar year, we’re starting off by celebrating National Mentoring Month! We are so grateful for you and the vital role you serve in making one-on-one mentoring relationships possible. Because of your work, students feel seen and heard; mentors have a sense of purpose; and communities are impacted by the intentional partnership with your local school.

As Christmas approaches, we pause to reflect on the gifts this season brings—hope, joy, and peace. Amid full schedules, we see and celebrate the quiet moments you and your mentors spend investing in the life of your students—the peace that comes from being fully present, reminding them they are valued and loved.

Like many of you, I have a “life verse” – a passage of scripture I can turn to in every season. Whether in triumph or challenge, I can find solid ground on the promises of God that remind me of His goodness.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month—a wonderful reminder to pause and celebrate the leaders who make ministry possible. Your pastor’s vision, prayers, and support open the door for kids in your community to experience hope through mentoring.

It’s hard to believe we’re in September again – the month that most of you begin mentoring in your partner schools! It’s an exciting and busy time, and we know the tremendous amount of effort it takes to keep your program running strong.

No, it’s not January 1st—but in my brain, a new year is just about to begin. For all my childhood and most of my adult life as a teacher and mother, the calendar that’s shaped my routine has always been August to August—that dreaded yet comforting school year cycle. My life has revolved around it: first day of school, fall break, winter break, spring break, and finally summer break… and now, here we are again! A new year is about to begin—full of anticipation, excitement, and a little uncertainty.
